4 days to go

I'm happy to report that Arvid's Dad was pretty stable today. He was sleeping when we were there this afternoon, but was more awake for Lynelle (my sister-in-law) and family this evening. Day 7 has the highest risk for spasm complications - that will be on Tuesday. Please pray that it will not affect him.

We are still plugging away and knocking things off our to-do list very slowly. You wouldn't think there is so much to do, but there really is...things like canceling appointments and camping trips we had planned, booking doctor's appointments for when we return, picking up last minute donation items that are cheaper here, making sure I have enough clothing bought for Mebira, doing laundry, organizing a schedule for my mom who is watching the girls, packing for us, packing for the girls, getting Mebira's room ready for her, getting US cash, finishing up work projects, going to the hospital every day, spending quality time with the girls, trying to learn as much Amharic as possible, buying snacks and travel sized toiletries, trying to learn how to care for Mebira's hair, leaving notes and little gifts for the girls to open each day while we're away, keeping the family informed about Arvid's Dad's progress, finding gifts for the KVI staff, etc., etc. ,etc.

We are at a good place, though. We are happy to be in the final stages now! Before we know it, we will be in Addis!
